What is The Day Chocolate Companys mission statement?
The Day Chocolate Company was set up to fill a gap in the market! The British spend about 50 on chocolate each year, munching their way through 16kg of the stuff and yet cocoa farmers in Ghana often earn under 50 a year and struggle to survive! One of the first lessons of business is to have a strong business proposition – ours was simple and audacious – to provide people with a real choice; the chance to buy a bar of delicious, irresistible chocolate knowing that the farmers that grow the cocoa in Africa get the benefit of a better price and a chance to plan for the future.
