What is the da Vinci Surgical System?
The da Vinci Surgical System includes a console, high-definition monitor and four interactive robotic arms. The surgeon manipulates the robotic arms while seated at the console. The arms then translate the surgeons hand, wrist and finger actions into precise, real-time movements of the micro-surgical instruments. Enhanced magnification of the surgical field and increased control allow surgeons to operate with great precision around delicate organs and nerves.
