Every Sector Skills Council has a “footprint” which defines which areas of the workforce that Sector Skills Council covers. We refer to the types of workers we represent as our footprint. These include: • Early years, including childminders, nannies, day care workers and nursery teachers • Learning Development and Support Services, including Educational Welfare staff, Learning Mentors and Connexions Personal Advisers • Foster carers • Educational Psychologists • Social care, including CAFCASS workers, children & families social workers, and portage workers • Volunteers and those working with children, young people and families in any of the above roles within the Third Sector. For full details see our footprint.
