What is the cut off date for inclusion of citations for ERA?
Citations received up to 1 March 2009 will be included in the first round of ERA. ARC testing shows that this will allow sufficient time for citations to build for articles published in 2007 (the final year of the ERA research output reference period). Are applied measures defined by eligible staff e.g. does a patent or registered design have to be derived from research conducted by an eligible staff member? Does research commercialisation income have to arise from research conducted by an eligible staff member? Applied measures are reported as per research income. Researcher eligibility criteria are not relevant for applied measures. Institutions are required to be able to identify a clear link between the applied measure and the research that was undertaken to generate the measure. Only applied measures obtained by the institution during the reference period (1 January 2005–31 December 2007) can be submitted.
