A. Children must be five years old before October 1 to enter kindergarten, and six years old prior to October 1 in order to enter first grade. There are no early admission to kindergarten. A parent/guardian may request early admission to first grade for a child who will turn six years old during the school year for which admittance is requested, by calling the Associate Superintendent’s office at the school administration building, 141 Ledge Street.
