What is the customer experience for demo applications that are preloaded?
After a customer opens a demo application for the first time, the V CAST Apps client automatically opens with the new pricing options. This requires the developers to provide a complete application binary with the subscriptions SDK embedded. Since there will not be any license on the devices due to preload, the ODP will be invoked by the SDK and will take the user to purchase page on the first attempt to launch the application. The customer can select an option, and the application is activated without a new download. V CAST Apps controls the timing of the demo. When the demo is complete, V CAST Apps will automatically open to the product details to present additional pricing options. Developers need to deep-link to the V CAST Apps product details page in order to ensure this experience. If the preloaded binary is a demo version, link to invoke the ODP and launch to the item purchase page. In this case, the actual binary will have to be downloaded and will override the demo version.
