What is the curriculum at Contra Costa Chinese School like?

From year 2005-06, we have been able to offer dual-track Chinese language programs, starting from the lower 1-4 grades. These include both traditional and simplified Chinese textbook versions, and ping yin and bo po mo fo phonetics systems. We plan to gradually expand this dual-track system to the upper 5-8 grades. The high school level 9-12 grades utilize Integrated Chinese textbooks, which are the same texts currently being used by U.C. Berkeley Chinese classes. This is a synthetic learning system that combines listening, speaking, writing, and reading comprehension in one class. The classes use ping yin and traditional/simplified Chinese textbooks.
