Because of limited resources (operating room time and hospital beds) the current wait for bariatric surgery (Dr. Court, Dr. Demytannaere) is 3 -7 years from the time a patient calls our office. Dr. Christou has withdrawn from RAMQ (Medicare) since 2008 and only accepts new patients in the private sector. This allows him to offer bariatric surgery in 4-6 weeks for patients who are willing to pay for their surgery and regain their health and reduce their risk of dying from obesity associated diseases.
