What is the current status of the Inyo-Mono IRWMP?
The Inyo-Mono IRWMP has moved forward on several fronts. As of September, 2008, the Planning Committee has conditionally accepted the MOU, with the understanding that final acceptance will be granted once the IRWMP boundaries have been finalized. We have contracted with Ecosystem Sciences Foundation to write a Prop. 84 IRWMP Planning Grant, and we are awaiting proposal guidelines from DWR. We are also in the process of choosing a fiscal sponsor to administer the planning grant. Finally, we continue to conduct outreach to additional stakeholders within the planning region, including development of outreach materials for the public and the media and launching of our website (www.inyomonowater.org).
