What is the current status of Shangri La Caribe?
Great News: Shangri-La Caribe, one of our favorite beach resorts, has seen several changes and uncertainties over the last few years. The indecision about its future caused us all much confusion and sadness. It did change ownership last year and is operating as usual. Now that the new owners have settled in, they are ready to commit to the future of the resort. Shangri La Caribe will be in operation thru April 2011 with the likelihood that it may stay longer. We, at the Turquoise Reef Group, feel confident that the new owners will work very diligently providing the wonderful atmosphere, staff and appeal that has brought so many vacationers back to it year after year.
