Flood Studies have been completed to define main stream flooding on Scotts Creek and Flat Rock Creek. A draft report of the Flood Study for the Sugarloaf Creek catchment has been prepared, and is currently being reviewed. Floodplain Risk Management Plan and Study for Sugarloaf Creek will commence in financial year 2011-12. Formal Flood studies for Swaines Creek, Blue Gum Creek and Sailors Bay Creek are planned to be carried out in the next few years. However, Willoughby City Council has engaged consultants to undertake an Overland Flooding Investigation for its Local Government Area. The investigation provides preliminary information on flooding in Areas that have been identified as being at risk of flooding. Those areas are shown in Pink, Blue and Red colours on the following map: Map of areas subject to Flood Related Development Controls – 967 KB.
