What is the current status of Auburn Universitys China Initiative?
A resolution to proceed with the study for an Auburn University Campus initiative was accepted by the institution’s Board of Trustees at its March 26 meeting. The proposal, submitted to the board through the Academic Affairs Committee, seeks approval for an in-depth study to establish a campus in the City of Danyang, China. This project is in the very early stages of study. University officials conducted initial meetings with leaders of the City of Danyang, which represents the provincial government as well. They expressed an interest in the concept and offered to provide the land and infrastructure for a campus.
