What is the current state of telecommunication in Nigeria?
There has been tremendous growth in telecommunication in Nigeria, coming from where we were coming from. It used to be a big task. Before, the total capacity of Nigerians that used telephone was 25,000 and this was provided by NITEL. Later, MTN came in and provided additional 10,000. Today, we can boast of 50 million subscribers. So, there has been a huge growth in the sector and these benefits are across the country. To a good extent, we could say in all the infrastructural growth in Nigeria, nothing could be compared to the one in telecom yet. The telecom industry in Nigeria is a goldmine; the development of telecom in Nigeria is so rapid and gives the investors quick ROI more than what they could imagine.
