BS 8500 Concrete – Complementary British Standard to BS EN 206-1 replaced BS 5328 Concrete on 1 December 2003 and was revised in 2006. While BS 8500 is intended to be used alongside Eurocode 2: Design of Concrete Structures, there will be an interim period where designers will continue to use BS 8110. A ‘How To’ leaflet explaining how to use BS 8500 with BS 8110 is available online, in addtion a ‘How To’ leaflet for specifying concrete for civil engineering structures is also available from The Concrete Centre website.
