What is the current scenario in food processing and package industry?
Till the recent years, the food industry in India was not recognised as a big number in the business sector. Certainly, there was tradition of food materials being packed in large volumes for easy handling by the consumers. But the emergence of food processing culture in the last five years, like the well-nurtured FP industry in foreign countries, has changed the scenario in favour to the processed food industry in India. Even though the revolution in food processing has started, the package industry is yet to be developed up to the situation. But you can see that the trend is changing slowly from the bulk package sector to consumer package in the last few years.
