R.S. 22:1193(I)(1) states that an individual may be exempt from continuing education requirements if they meet the following requirements: 65 years of age or older, 15 years experience as a licensed producer, broker or solicitor, and operating through a licensed insurer, or no longer actively engaged in the insurance business and receiving social security benefits if eligible. Eligible licensees may download and print form 65A from our website and submit the form and required documents to our department.
