The currency is TT dollar floats against the US dollar (roughly $6 USA to $1 TT). For the exchange rate contact your local bank for the current rate. Travellers’ cheques, US currency and international credit cards are readily accepted at major hotels and shops. TT cash can be accessed from ABMs (automatic bank machines) around the island.
