What is the Curfew Law in Libertyville?
In Libertyville, both State curfew laws and the Village’s curfew ordinance are applied. Curfew in Libertyville contains three linked provisions and a person must be in violation of all three provisions to be in violation of curfew. 1) Curfew hours – between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and – between 11:00 p.m. on Sunday to Thursday, inclusive and 6:00 a.m. on the following day 2) Curfew ages – Illinois state law applies to persons under the age of 17. NOTE: an Illinois driver’s license is not valid during curfew hours for persons under the age of 17. – Libertyville’s Ordinance applies to persons under the age of 18. The laws do not apply to persons who are accompanied by responsible adults at least 18 years of age. 3) Curfew laws apply only in public places.
