Hi Dry foo is probably the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats due to the carb content. There is no reason nor should you feed DM. Lower carbs can reduce insulin needs and cats can even go into diabetic remission feeing low carb canned foods. The canned dm holds no value over commerically available canned foods (no gravy) and dry shoiuld not be fed, period Doing well is not thriving and to behones, you cannot say that without hometesting. Hometesting is the only way to know if it is safe to give insulin as well as giving you the info neede to treat this disease correctly. I can teach you how if interested.
