The Last judgment was inspired by the words that Christ uttered spontaneously. It has got cultural implications in the Romanesque art because it was carved into the tympanum of several churches which were built in the Roman era. Hence, being a piece of art and at the same time reminding people of an event from the gospel. This theme has been carved in churches in Sainte-Foy de Conques and Moissac.
