What is the CSU Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR)?
All students in the California State University System (CSU) must meet the upper division graduation writing assessment requirement within the first year. Successful performance on a CSUDH test, the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR), satisfies this requirement. At the graduate level, students are required to attain a passing score of 8.
