What is the criteria for waiving/substituting a requirement, including the Second Language requirement?
In order for a substitution or waiver to be granted, the department head of the student’s declared major must approve of the substitution. The waiver forms can be found in Breland Hall, room 152 at the record’s counter, or can be emailed to you by calling 575-646-2941. The second language waiver can be granted for students who have completed 3 years of the same language in high school with a C or better.
