What is the crime situation in the rural communities where the students live and work?
Student safety is paramount. While no one can guarantee safety, ThinkImpact has several health and safety measures in place. Our staff monitors current international political, social, and economic conditions and events in the region. ThinkImpact educates and prepares students for travel through conference calls, emails, and pre-departure informational mailings. Prior to departure, students receive health and safety information about the program in our Welcome Packet (if you are a parent, ask your son/daughter to give you a copy as it is mailed to students’ current addresses). Our staff also registers all interns with the local U.S. Embassy in-country.
