What is the CR/NC grading option?

The college offers certain courses for a Credit (CR)/No Credit (NC) grade option. To see if this grading option is available for a specific course go to the Online Schedule. Click the course ID. The grading option is part of the detailed course information. For those courses that have this option, a student is held responsible for all coursework, assignments, and examinations and will earn a CR if his/her final grade is a C or better. An NC is issued when the final grade earned is a D or F. You have until the end of the fourth week of quarter-length classes (or the 30% point for short classes) to switch your grade option. To request this grading option you must complete the CREDIT(SATISFACTORY)NO CREDIT(UNSATISFACTORY)GRADE AUTHORIZATION form and submit it in person to Admissions and Records, RmA102, by the deadline noted above.
