The Wolfline covers an area of approximately nine square miles in and around NC State campus. Q: What is the Transit Station for? The new Wolfline transit station on Founders Dr. was constructed to accomplish several goals. • Transit riders now have a devoted area on campus. It takes some of the burden off the large bus staging area adjacent to Carmichael Gym. At the gym, buses would queue up and sometimes block the nearby intersections because they had no place else to go. Now the buses have a place to park in-between round-trips. • In future, it will provide a good interface between Wolfline, CAT and TTA, including the upcoming TTA rail project. • The site is a boon to pedestrians. We have had much positive feedback about the site and the haven it provides from dealing with safety and quality of life issues on Hillsborough St. • The station allows Wolfline to run counter-clockwise routes.
