What is the coverage for the club and its members?
A. – Any club which is not registered with the province, even if it has a club constitution, is not recognized in law to be a legal entity or “person”, and any liability incurred by the club, its officers or members is borne personally by the officers and members of the club. Such clubs cannot be “registered” by RAC for coverage as the insurer will not cover such unregistered, or unincorporated, clubs, as they are not legal entities. Only those individual club members, who are members of RAC at the time of an occurrence, are covered.
