Current Rate As of January 1, 2009, the current rates at which state employees are reimbursed for approved travel in privately-owned vehicles are: Automobiles: 55.0 cents per mile Airplanes: 126 cents per mile Motorcycles, snowmobiles and boats: 58.5 cents per mile These rates are set by the Division of Finance in the states Department of Administration.
