What is the course of a peripheral examination?
In peripheral angiography with stepping, using only one contrast medium injection, the object region being examined is imaged in individual segments. During this run, optimum acquisition parameters are determined automatically. The Last Image Hold in the fluoroscopic mode allows radiation- free collimation and positioning of the semi-transparent filters. Afterwards the mask run is performed. Once all masks are acquired, the system automatically changes to the DSA technique, allowing it to monitor the flow of the contrast medium. Depending on the flow rate, the stepping can then be adjusted individually.
