What is the Countermeasure Situation Report?
The Countermeasure Situation report was developed by federal staffs from Biomedical Advance Research and Development Authority (BARDA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). All of the data elements are based on questions that we received (and continue to receive) from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), CDC leadership and other stakeholders during the Novel Influenza A (H1N1) outbreak in spring 2009. The intent was to develop a single standardized data collection tool that will minimize multiple federal departments/agencies querying Project Areas for the same information and to minimize ad hoc data requests.
