Gloucestershire County Council is responsible for road and footpath drainage in the county. This is carried out by Gloucestershire Highways whose gully clearing teams have a detailed programme of gully and drain clearing. As part of its community leadership role, the council has also been working with the other agencies involved in flooding (including the Environment Agency, water authorities and district and borough councils) to reduce the flood risk in the county.
