What is the costa rican currency?
In Costa Rica we use colones, but you can bring American dollars and they will take them everywhere. So don’t worry about where to find them, just make sure that you have small bills such as 10’s – 20’s and 50’s. Most of the places WON’T TAKE $100 BILLS. There is ONLY ONE ATM machine in Nosara and it only takes Visa, we advise you to bring cash to be safer.We recommend packing $45 extra dollars for a CD with pictures of you surfing.
