What is the cost to register a mobile home and when are the taxes due?
a. Mobile Home Only The cost for registering a mobile home is $1.00 payable to the Tax Collector’s office. From the time of registration the taxpayers has 90 days to pay the taxes for the current year. Mobile home taxes are sent out the first week in January and are due on or before February 1 of each year. b. Mobile Home and Property If a taxpayer owns a mobile home and the land it resides on, the taxpayer can register the mobile home and property at the Tax Assessor’s office for $12. Taxes are paid annually as real estate to the tax collector’s office. If a person owns a mobile home and property and it is their permanent residence, the taxpayer can file for homestead by contacting the tax assessor’s office at (601) 968-6616 or (601) 968-6617 between January 1 and April 1.
