What is the cost to participate on a Storm team?
The cost to participate on a Storm team is between $800-$1000. This amount covers expenses such as approximately $400-$600 for each tournament depending on the number of games gauranteed in a tournament (teams usually play 8 to 10 a year); uniforms at $250 per player; indoor practice time at $1300, insurance, equipment etc. Because the Storm program is a non-profit program, players are often able to get sponsors to help them with their payments. The money contributed by sponsors goes directly to helping a player meet her obligations. With the tax-exempt status of the program, business donors as well as individuals may claim a tax deduction for contributing to a player.
