What is the cost to live at the North Dakota Veterans Home?
A. Basic Care Rent is calculated as 25% of a resident’s first $1200 of annual rent eligible income and 50% of additional rent eligible income. Annual rent will be divided by 12 to determine monthly rent. The maximum amount of rent charges for February to January will be $7884, which prorates to $657 per month. Additional rent charges will be billed for residents that have requested a private room, cable ($6) and/or voicemail ($5). Skilled Care Residents are charged a daily rate as developed by the State of North Dakota Human Services Case Mix System. Residents covered under Medicare or Medicaid will be responsible for their recipient liability amount. See Rates and Payment for more information.
