What is the cost of keeping a pet goat?
Depending on type of goat (pygmies aren’t all that bad and are relatively easy to care for pets) the costs are more than people normally take into consideration. Goats are by nature destructive and great eaters. They tear through fences, eat wooden structures, knock over items in the yard and poo everywhere. They eat large quantities of food and need to have vaccines and be dewormed regularly to maintain a healthy lifestyle. With current economics the price of feed for animals is climbing.
