As mentioned previously, each product must be evaluated to determine the method of processing, and the amount of time and labor that is involved. Normally, the most cost effective process would be the products that are simply loaded into the baskets in bulk, processed, and unloaded into a bulk container. This requires the least amount of labor and time, and would be the most economically priced. Other products that require individually racking, additional cleaning, de-scaling, individual packing, and such would be much more labor intense and time consuming, and would be more expensive. Products that are tumbled usually cost a little more because of the initial cost and maintenance cost of tumblers.
