What is the cost of arbitration services through NYSERB?
There is no filing fee for filing a request for an arbitrator. Grievances and disputes arising out of an existing collective bargaining agreement may be arbitrated by a staff arbitrator employed by the Board or selected and appointed by the Board from a pool of per diem arbitrators at no cost to the parties. The parties may request a panel arbitrator which they choose through a process of striking and ranking a list of Board-approved arbitrators. The cost of services provided by a panel arbitrator are customarily borne equally by the parties.
