What is the cost of arbitration services through NYS ERB?
There is no filing fee for filing a request for an arbitrator. Grievances arising out of an existing collective bargaining agreement or out of the negotiation of a new agreement may be arbitrated by a panel arbitrator chosen by the parties through a process of striking and ranking a list of Board-approved arbitrators or by an arbitrator selected and appointed by the Board from a pool of pro bono arbitrators who serves at no cost to the parties. The costs of services provided by a panel arbitrator are customarily borne equally by the parties.
