What is the cost difference between a WORKHORSE and a standard Chip?
Today most standard Chips cost between $495-$895. But because you are “strongly” advised by the chip makers to add a Pyrometer and Boost Gauge you will need to add another $250-400 to the purchase price of the Chip. Also since you will be using the “higher horsepower” settings on the Chip you need to get more air in and out of the engine to keep high exhaust gas temperatures from damaging your engine. Because of this you will need to spend another $250-$400 on a larger Air-Intake System and $500-$800 on an exhaust system. So just to safely operate the Chip that costs you $495-$895… you need to spend an additional $1000-$1500… (and you still are not guaranteed to stop heat damage!) Remember the WORKHORSE diesel chip does not raise EGT’s so you eliminate the need to spend the additional $1500 making it the most cost effective diesel performance product on the market.
