Many common fluorescent dyes, e.g., Cy3 and Cy5, show also little absorbance at 260 and 280 nm. This may lead to minute deviations when measuring the dye labeled DNA, RNA or protein in the BioPhotometer plus. This deviation can be corrected by a correction factor. The correction factors for Cy3, Cy5, ALEXA 555/647 are already programmed. For correction factors for other fluorescent dyes please contact the manufacturer directly.
