What is the correct tire pressure for Porsche Carrera 4S?
The car is only for normal driving, not for high speed driving, and the car is fitted with original tires and rim only. A: You neglect certain details… first, there are three very different version of the Carrera 4S. The 993, 996, and 997 (current). Second, there are a number of different factory rim options for each of these. The factory recommendation for the 996 is 36 psi in the front, and 44 psi in the rear. It is likely very similar for the 997. However, the factory recommendation here is way off what is usable! The 36 psi in the front is at least in the right range, but the 44 rear is way too much for the back. If you stay with the factory recommendation in front, you’ll find something about 2 pounds heavier in the back to be the right match for the rear biased weight distribution. Aggressive driving will tend to put more heat (and thus pressure) into the tires, meaning you might be able to run a pound or two lighter (and definitely at least that if you are tracking the car). C
