A Builders Lien must be filed in duplicate accompanied with a transmittal letter. The form and transmittal letter are available on the Alberta Energy website at http://www.energy.alberta.ca/ Go to: Our Business >Tenure>Forms and Reporting. The submission of a Builders Lien for registration must be made at the Alberta Energy office in Edmonton which is the document registration office for the department. Builders Liens cannot be registered at the departments office in Calgary.
