What is the correct procedure for placing the fingerprint on the sensor?
The correct fingerprint placement technique is the Lock, Drop and Hold technique using the Ridge-Lock as a fingerprint guide. Using this technique, you slide your finger horizontally across the Ridge-Lock, parallel to the sensor. Once the Ridge locks into place under your first joint (knuckle), you then lower your finger evenly onto the sensor. Finally, hold your finger in place and apply moderate pressure until the reader or software indicate for your to remove it.
