What is the CORE?
The CORE consists of fifty-five hours of courses required of all students at OBU, regardless of their majors or minors. The exact details are provided in the University catalog. In a few special cases, courses in your major may replace CORE requirements. For example, students majoring in biology usually replace the Life Science CORE requirement with a biology course. Detailed information about the CORE curriculum can be found on the School of Interdisciplinary Studies website and in the university catalog.
