What is the Cordilleran vegetation region?
Cordilleran vegetation varies greatly because of the range in temperature and precipitation. The valleys are typically dry, resulting in cactuses and grasses. As the altitude increases, the vegetation changes, the vegetation changes to mostly coniferous trees, similar to the boreal forest. The vegetation at the highest elevations is similar to that of the tundra.
