What is the control panel?
The Control Panel is the hub of the Blackboard Course Management system. You add course materials in the Content Areas pane. The Course Tools pane is where you will find your Communications tools such as Announcements, email and Discussion Boards. It is also where you will find the GW Specific “More Tools.” Make your course visible to students as well as control what Blackboard elements your students see in the Course Options pane. Grades, course statistics as well as test and survey managements can be found in the Assessment pane. Join us as we tour a sample Blackboard Course that has been updated and modified using the Control Panel.
The Blackboard system is very flexible and it will allow you to customize your course. It provides several tools and it supports different types of content that you can include in any location of your course. to design and manage your Blackboard course you need to access the Control Panel. You should define your course menu and enable the tools you are planning to use. The Control Panel is used for administering sections of your course.
