Despite taking all necessary precautions in selecting a contractor and signing a contract, people can end up with an unsatisfactory job. The first step if this occurs is to take legal action and obtain a judgement against the contractor. If unable to collect, a client can seek compensation from the Contractors Recovery Fund which is establised and administered by the state, BUT ONLY IF YOUR CONTRACTOR IS LICENSED BY THE STATE.
