What is the continent that share the western hemisphere with north america?
When people speak of the western hemisphere they are usually referring to north and south america and any adjacent islands. Greenland, Iceland and Britain are not continents. Geometrically a hemisphere is one half of a sphere or 180 degrees. If you arbitrarily divide the earth into hemispheres along the 0˚-180˚ lines of longitude then parts of Europe and Africa will be there as well as a bit of Asia. If you move to the 20˚W-130˚E line then you get more of Asia. But the only two continents which are entirely within those boundaries are north and south america and when geographers, political scientists, and historians refer to the western hemisphere it is these continents that they mean. (It is also useful to remember that a little less than half of antarctica is also in the western hemisphere however you define it.
