What is the consent agenda and how important in my attendance at subcommittees?
Due to the large volume of business that comes before this committee, most work is done in subcommittee. All items that pass through all relevant subcommittees without controversy or significant amendment can be placed on the Consent Agenda. This allows a number of items to be passed together via one majority vote of the full committee. The consent agenda will be posted on our web site (www.ccsu.edu/curriculum) one week prior to our full meeting. If necessary, individuals can ask for items to be removed from the consent agenda for further discussion. All remaining items (including those not on the consent agenda) will be discussed at the full committee and approved, tabled, or disapproved at that time.
