What is the connection with Siouxsie and The Banshees?
In the fall of 1979, Siouxsie and the Banshees where the victims of a band breakup after Kenny Morris and John McKay (their drummer and guitarist) left the band suddenly. The Cure was their support act at the time, and Robert began filling in as a guitarist on the British tour. In 1983, Robert began playing with the Banshees again because he felt that he wanted to get away from being to focal point in a group. Eventually he felt stifled by the role he was playing in the band and left to start up The Cure again.
